But that wasn’t always my passion.
My love for design was first ignited in elementary school. So when, about 18 years later, I graduated with my design degree, I was determined to be the next Saul Bass or David Carson. In other words, I wanted to be a design hero. But, the truth is, I wasn’t good enough. At least not on my own.
Early in my journey, I discovered that I had a knack for helping other designers improve their work. Even those whose talents far exceeded mine would come to me for input. My skills in art direction were honed as my career progressed and I began to lead larger and larger design teams.
Now, as the head of ACG’s internal design team, I drive the strategic vision and communication design for all brands. It starts with partnering with the executive team to define clear objectives, then I activate my cross-functional team of researchers, designers, and writers to work their magic.
